the lazy days of summer

Are definitely getting to me... We finally had a break in the weather AND I finally sent out my last two packages for the paeckchen zirkel.

And since they are going to Germany – they might not get there by the 15th of August which is the deadline. Hmmm…I suck! I hope that they get there safe and sound. Of course, I did not take pictures of anything that I made. I finished everything and then packed it up and sealed the envelope and then…crap! Forgot to take pics! C’est la vie! (sp?)

There are other crazy things happening too – but I’ll leave that for another day.

marietta, maybe it´s good for you to hear that i didn´t even finish my last two packages and that they *definitely* don´t get to the adressees in time... and they have to travel far. *sigh*
so don´t mind about it. everyone will be happy about the parcel two weeks later, too... ;)
and the shipping from the us to europ is pretty fast, as i remember *gg*

yes, don't worry, I agree with Katrin!
I just finished my last 2 parcels, they'll be in the mail this afternoon -- but will they arrive by Tuesday?? I simply hope people enjoy them, whenever they get there ;-)

Marietta, what about some lesson in German?!
I think we practice our conjugation skills and begin with the translation of a common phrase we ALL can relate to.

You suck.
Okay, that is what in German? Katrin sucks. That's what? Amelie, too. That's easy, because it's the same like Katrin sucks... Oh, but I suck, too, how do you say that in German?

Shame on us, because we all suck.

May I add, that if it was not for the sake of practicing our foreign languages, I would NEVER say "suck"?

PS: Very curious about the crazy things :-)

hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
oh my goodness! that cracks me up! it is true - certain colorful phrases do not translate. i don't think "ich bin total schrecklich" quite does it either - needs more color....hmmmmm

LOL, I am happy to hear that I am not the only one who remembers to take the photos after the items are packed and gone.

"Ich bin total schrecklich"... hm, sounds almost cute compared with "I suck" ;-)

No progress on the Paeckchenzirkel here... I am having a major attack of procrastination. Can't cut or sew anything connected with PZ. That really s... you know.

oh I have the perfect translation for "I suck".... Ich bin voll fürn A...h :)
oder auf tinisch " ich bin voll fürn pöschi" :)

Frau Vau said...

tini - don´t teach THOSE words...
bad tini. bad.... ;)

Pöschi is nice....
that is what I called my little nieces behind, when she was still wearing diapers :)
and if we learn I suck, I thought our English speaking friends wanted to learn German too :)
maybe we have some French here?
Japanese?

so is poeschi like po? as in po po klatsch? as in your butt? aka bum or tuchas (yiddish) or culo or culi (italian) or have i gone on a whole other thread
